Proposed Mechanism of Action

Prasinezumab’s proposed mode of action for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease: Prasinezumab is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that binds extracellular alpha-synuclein (α-syn) aggregates, which may prevent their toxic spread between neurons and reduce neuronal toxicity.1-6
